Summer has arrived, but forgot to bring the sun

Jeep Season Has Begun!

Parker and the girls got a chance to play while the Daddy's raced. Longview had a super fun race, with a lot of entertainment for the crowd. Parker finally got her chance to play with Brookey and Tay Tay. The girls had a bunch of fun and it was so exciting to see how much they have all grown since the last time we have seen them (December).
Look at that cheese face!!! That is my kid all right

They are so fun together. Parker is such a big ham

The best part of jeep racing; all the dirt piles

We have finally kicked off jeep racing season. Parker raced the obstacle and the barrels (she hated her helmet this year which could pose a problem). However, once we started racing we forgot how much we didn't like the helmet. Her races were entertaining and she did a good job; she only let go of the steering wheel to wave to the crowd twice and the spotter once:)

Summer means family fun, camp fires and exploring with Louie

.m In our family summer means haying and logging. We took advantage of the nice weather and Ryan and Jon cut down a tree that was blocking part of the driveway. With anything in our family, if Daddy does it Parker must do it too.

The weather hasn't exactly changed a lot or drastically, but all I need is overcast to want a campfire. As Parker and I prepared for a campfire, she got distracted and followed Louie through the woods and went exploring mom (as she kept telling me)!

Swim Lessons is a tradition

In my world summer equals swimming. When I was a child growing up, summer meant you lived at the pool or lake. We spent endless hours playing at the pool on Pearl St. Since that pool is closed now Parker either lives in Tuggy, at the river by Gammy's or at the Chehalis outdoor pool. She has been in lessons since she was 9 months old. After a guard inservice I was convinced by some persuasive individuals to sign Parker up for the Cubbies class at the pool. My response was "SHE IS ONLY 2". They didn't care. So, she is in lessons, without me. She loves it. It does help that she has an amazing teacher, who has a lot of patience and loves Parker.

These two together are so funny.
