Sooo much snow

Another day off of school and so much snow who knows where to begin!!! The 9 inches that were predicted brought more to our house!! We had 20 inches in most areas of our yard. When we first got up Parker and I looked out the livingroom window. I knew the snow was going to be overwhelming for the wee lil peanut.
I took this picture at 5 am and it was still coming down

Parker was determined to help Ryan clean the deck...

Parker in the 20 inches of snow...wasn't to sure about that.
Ryan built her path so she could walk back and forth. It was way to deep for her to "play" in like she had in the previous days. She LOVED being able to run back and forth on the road to the diesel truck and than back to the garage.

We played for about 45 minutes outside and than Parker decided she needed some "snacks" to eat. That freezing rain they called for started early keeping us inside for the rest of the day.

Today, Thursday, we haven't even gotten to step outside because of that smae freezing rain. But we have managed to clean A LOT of things inside. Parker is also learning about trees falling beause of all the snow. She says "UH OH" everytime one falls down.

Snow Date with Aunt Ki-Ki

Aunt Ki-Ki came up to the house last night to see the pictures I hung up because I was being sneaky....I had to share with Ki-Ki the amazing hair picture I found online. I was trying a hair style out on Ki-Ki and than Parker wanted me to do hers....She usually freaks out if I try to do her hair. So I have now come to conclusion that Ki-Ki has to come up every morning so I can do Parker's hair.

WiNtEr WoNdErLaNd

I was excited for Parker when I heard it was going to snow on Saturday and Sunday. I knew she would be in love with the white stuff falling out of the sky. Saturday afternoon as the snow started falling out of the sky Parker was so excited that she kept yelling "SNOOOOW". She was very determined to eat her lunch and dinner by the back door so she could watch the snow fall on the deck.

Talking to the snow as it was falling

When I got up Sunday morning and had seen how much snow had fallen I was excited. I couldn't wait for Parker to get up and see how much snow we got. When Parker got up and she bolted for the backdoor and was so excited about the snow. It was a battle all by itself getting her to eat breakfast before we headed outside. I was excited to see that Parker's snow suit from jeep racing still fit her (thank you Jeepin Grandma). Once she was in her suit I kept having flashbacks of the movie, A Christmas Story and the poor kid who couldn't move in his snow suit. Once outside though it was a different story. The idea of snow makes us all feel like kids is so true; Louie our old cocker spaniel who has been acting "deaf" lately thought he was a puppy. Him and Parker were chasing each other up and down the driveway.

Look at that face...

Parker was able to find a tree stump...huh where does she get this?!?!
Needless to say the lil lady and dog slept really well at nap time:) I can't wait for the snow play today.

Papa's are the BEST

I always knew that Parker was so blessed....her Papa Ken is one amazing person who I am so thankful that she has him in her world. She just loves to follow him around and "help". Yesterday she helped him fix a vent at Aunt Mi-Mi's new house. But the best thing Papa has done for Parker was build her a train table. Once Parker got her trains for Christmas I knew she needed a table for it to go on and who else do you ask than a logger who is also amazing at building things. I asked and this is what she got.....

Our Year in Review

As I am sitting in Parker's playroom watching her play with her trains I was thinking how fast this year has moved....It is amazing how much Ryan and I have been blessed with, Parker is our missing link. It is amazing how much Parker brings our family together. I love seeing how she lights up a room and can make Ry and I laugh at her goofy face expressions. I have never felt more complete as I do since she entered our lives!
January
I can't believe last year at this time Parker both took swimming lessons had her first visit to the Monster Trucks. Swimming is something I am passionate about and am determined to have in lessons so she is comfortable around the pool. At 9 months old she was all about splashing, kicking and blowing bubbles, but not so much as putting her face in the water. The monster trucks at the dome were so much fun! Her daddy raced and Parker cheered; she loves the jeeps. She was so cute that the Monster Jam people took her picture and used her on the website for a long time! January was a daring month for Ms. Parker, she started taking two steps and sitting down. It was so exciting to see her attempt to walk by herself.
First dip into the pool

We liked the noodle

Lined up and ready to go into the dome
February
With our determination to walk wihtout falling Parker took her first "real" steps on February 22. She walked down the hall after Louie. After this it was all over for Lou, he never was safe again :) February we enjoyed our first snow fall!!!
She didn't think this was to funny. But I had to use it at least once

Watching the snow fall was so fun
March
With everyday of getting older Parker was also getting more independent; she enjoyed tremendously dressing herself! She still does which explains a lot of her "outfits". I love watching her try to place the shirts on her legs.
Playtime with dad is Parker's favorite

April
My baby turned 1 and we enjoyed our first Easter all in the same weekend! Parker's first birthday was so much fun and had so much family and friends turn out to help us celebrate her birth.

May
After a terrible accident that one of my students endured Cousin Kasey and Auntie Kira and I took Parker to the Seattle Aquarium. We also took our very first trip to the ocean with Carson and Johnna.

We are so obsessed with climbing into things

We love our pool
July
We took our second set of lessons at Chehalis Pool and loved it!!! Our summer has been filled with so much joy, but spend a lot of time swimming, eating popsicles, racing and going on walks. Ryan even started a logging job at our house. Parker thought that is would be great to help her daddy fix his chaingsaw each time it needed fixed. Parker raced for the first time at the Mud Daubers race. It was to cute, during her second barrel she reached over to grab her blankie.

Yahoo we have finished our first barrels

August
I can't believe how fast summer went by. Parker raced for the first time at summer convention and got 4th place! She also got a Tuggy and loved playing in him. We even went to the fair with Olive and Auntie Laurel, although we weren't big enough for the rides we had so much fun.
This kisses landed Parker in the paper

September
We choose to skip our last jeep race of the summer and go to Leavenworth. It was so very much fun to go somewhere just the 3 of us.

October
Halloween this year was so much more exciting than last year. Parker was able to take part in the games and activities that the other little kids could do. Parker took part in the water relay and did such a great job! Going to the pumpkin patch with a toddler rather than a 6 month old baby is so much more interesting. Parker was determined to carry her own pumpkin...that was interesting.

We were a pumpkin this year

I love this picture...

Even helping carve and empty the pumpkin is different than last year

 November
Playtiem with Olive is always Parker's favorite past time. But I must say she LOVES to watch football.

December
We went on our first train ride as a family. Parker is slightly obsessed with trains so taking her on the Christmas train ride was right up her alley!!! Cutting our trees were even more entertaining this year than last.

We are in a tutu phase. Parker is making sure they are doing the job correctly...

We ate more of the cookie decorations than we deocrated them
