The Joys of Christmas

This year was so much fun, Parker is 20 months now where last year she was only 10 months old and just walking. The entertainment of watching her open a gift and want to sit and play with it was the best blessing of all. I woke up at 5 am unable to sleep and enjoyed my coffee. Around 7 am Parker got up. I told her Mr. Ho Ho Ho had come last night and drop her off a few items! She just started yelling Ho Ho Ho and running around the house. It was so cute to see.

The first thing we started with was stockings. I made the mistake of putting a train in her stocking because it took us about 10 minutes to move past that train into the living room to open gifts. She made it to about 4 gifts till she got to her train. We lost her after opening that one!!! She wanted it set up right away and then that was it. She was all about playing with her train and not doing anymore gifts.
Parker Loves her new train set

We let her play for about 20 minutes and then we headed off to Ryan's mom's for Christmas morning. It was more gifts, stockings and breakfast. Of course the hard part was breaking Parker away from her new Train track...not an easy task. She was not a happy camper. It took her well over an hour to calm down once we made it to Gammy's house.

Parker was so spoiled this year by Santa, her uncles and Gammy/Papa and Papa Ken and Grandma Nancy and Aunt Mi Mi. She is so very loved it is wonderful to see her with her family and friends.

It was so much fun and the best way to end Christmas with our Shephard family! This new tradition of opening gifts and having dinner together is the best ever. Papa Ken and Aunt Mi Mi came over for steaks and potatoes to talk, catch up and open gifts. We missed Grandma Nancy since she wasn't able to come because she didn't feel well.
Papa Ken's gift was the first to be spotted and she just tore into it! Boy was she excited when she realized that is had a tunnel!!!!!

Mi Mi's gift was pretty fun too, but Parker really enjoyed watching Mi Mi with it instead of her playing with it. Parker thought chasing Mi Mi on the stick horse was so much fun!!!

Chasing Aunt Mi Mi is much fun
